Kiwanis International was founded in 1915 and has grown to an organization with over 325,000 members, in over 9000 clubs in over 80 countries.

Kiwanis is a service organization for individuals desiring personal involvement in the leadership and improvement of their communities.  As a group, we can achieve what individuals can not do alone.Thus our motto and the cornerstone of Kiwanis

Sebastopol Kiwanis was founded in 1971. Our goal is to support the Sebastopol area young people and their activities, and to have fun doing it.

Who Benefits

Each year, the Sebastopol Kiwanis donates to local efforts that benefit children in West Sonoma County.  What follows is a list of Community Organizations that our club has supported.

Annual Events

The Sebastopol Kiwanis Club is an active club that lends a hand in many events, these are the major Kiwanis Sponsored Events.

Easter Egg Hunt

It's Saturday, the day before Easter Sunday.  At 10:00 am in Ives Park, Sebastopol, special guest Mr. E. Bunny arrives to officiate the Annual Easter Egg Hunt enjoyed by hundreds of our community's families.  Children of all ages race to find the Easter Egg treasures E. Bunny hid earlier that morning.  By 10:05 the fast and furious race has ended!  Be sure to bring your camera as Mr. B. is always ready for a hug and a photo. 
 
 

 

3rd of July Fireworks & Music

Cost: Adults $6.00 Teens $5.00 (12-16)

Children $3.00 (6-11)

Featuring: Blue Moon, Stiff Dead Cat, Black Bird Stitches
A family tradition for years has been the annual 3rd of July Fireworks & Music Festival.  Held at Analy High School's football field, gates open at 5:30pm.  Featuring live music, dancing, games and food, the community comes together to celebrate Independence Day.  The fireworks display begins when it's dark enough with all the expected ooo's and aah's.  There is a nominal fee for this extravaganza and all proceeds go to support local community organizations.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Membership Information

Kiwanis membership offers the opportunity to work with other for the benefit of your community and the world. 
Anyone who wants to support the Sebastopol Community may join the Sebastopol Kiwanis.  We meet every Friday afternoon at the Sebastopol Community Center, 390 Morris Street from 12:30 to 1:30.  Our lunch meetings are open to guests, just ask any Kiwanis member or call our membership chair, Bruce Nachtigall at 823-3081.

Annual Dues: $75.00
Weekly Lunch: $8.00

-Gain insight into issues affecting the local and global communities.
-Work in an arena where you can develop and use your leadership skills.
-Develop lifetime friendships.  Improve your community.
-Enjoy fellowship and inspiration by attending weekly club meetings.
